Our gunsmiths at GunCraft manufacture our own muzzle brakes here in Cape Town. Our muzzle brakes are tested and proven to be effective recoil reduction devices.
What is a Muzzle Brake?
A muzzle brake is a device mounted on the muzzle of the firearm that redirects the expanding gases, when the bullet exits the barrel, to counter recoil and unwanted muzzle rise.
Please note that a muzzle brake increases the noise and concussion of the firearm when fired, so be sure a muzzle brake is allowed in your sport shooting discipline or hunting location.

GunCraft's Muzzle Brakes
Our gunsmiths at GunCraft have years of experience making effective muzzle brakes. We make a standard muzzle brake that is readily available.
Our standard muzzle brake allows gases to escape towards the top. This reduces muzzle rise and dust kick-up. It has three ports: the first one is perpendicular to the barrel. This pushes the blast from the other two backwards-facing ports away from the shooter and spotter.
Our muzzle brake must be fitted and indexed by our gunsmiths for proper alignment.
